Caledonia dreaming

Took the train to Inverness this weekend, reckoned we were overdue for a bit of training for next year's walk. Here are some photos of us on Ben Wyvis - a freezing blustery day and a late start which saw us setting off down from the summit just as the sun was setting, and as the hail and snow kicked in. A good day out! I'm sure when we're broiling in the deserts of southern California next year we'll be looking back fondly on being battered by freezing gales on a Scottish summit.

Greetings!

Col d'Arrious, France
Hi! We're Tanya and Neil (well I'm Tanya, Neil is hundreds of miles away working in Inverness), and as it's a cold wet November night I thought I would take my first tentative steps into the Blogosphere instead of hauling a heavy rucksack for seven miles over the local fells. And here I am, and there we are, in that photo there, in the Pyrenees last year - our longest walking route to date at 500 miles. Our next will be 2700 miles. Can't wait!
